Georgia is on the map!

We left Sevierville, TN, on our way to the Hilton Head area of South Carolina. It’s a little too far to drive in one day, so we stopped half way in Georgia, camping at a state park- Hurray, this allowed us to put Georgia on our travel map:

We are getting there, adding 2 states so far on this trip! Driving through Georgia was interesting, because we had to drive through downtown Atlanta! We were on the freeway, but there was a LOT of traffic- it was an adventure! At one point lanes were going different directions and changing, so I got behind a truck hauling a trailer full of skulling boats (the long skinny boats that are rowed by a group), because he was big like us, and he knew which lanes to be in. Here are some pics of our journey through Atlanta:

We stayed at a state campground, which was rustic but nice, and it POURED overnight- I am surprised we didn’t float away! Here is a picture of our campsite as we are getting ready to leave:

On the road again- next stop is Bluffton, SC, near Hilton Head Island!
