So much to do, so little time
There is so much to do to get ready to leave- Jerry washed and waxed the trailer, washed the truck, checked all the systems on the trailer, greased the zerks (?), fixed a couple of things… Meanwhile I packed the trailer- food, clothes, toiletries, laundry supplies… 8 wagon loads later, we were ready to go!
The first leg of the trip was to Kingman AZ. There is a lot of desert out there! And a lot of Trucks, trains and trailers- everyone is going camping! The drive was pretty uneventful, except that it was HOT (110) in Needles, and Jerry was keeping a close eye on the tire pressure monitor. I have to say, we are NOT desert people! You can see forever, but it’s just dirt, sand, cacti… repeat!
We found a great place for dinner in Kingman: Rickety Cricket Brewing has great beer and REALLY GREAT pizza. They make their own crust and bake it in a brick oven- YUMM! Our campground had a horse motel for those traveling with horses- first time we have seen that!
Campground internet is horrible- I have been trying to post for an hour, and still no luck- maybe tomorrow- keeping my fingers crossed!
