Rainy morning & a silver lining

We woke up to the sound of rain this morning- LOTS of rain! No wonder Cali is in a drought- they are getting all the rain here! 😉

Last night I found several lots in this general vicinity, so we mapped them and went in a circle. We visited the first 2 and were disappointed, then made a quick trip to Costco and lunch in Farragut (suburb of Knoxville). Then we started for the next place and Google Maps sent us to the wrong place. Luckily Jerry was able to figure it out and get us to the right development- and Eureka! Things are looking up!

I left a message for the real estate agent to get info on the various lots in this development. There are some on the hills that look straight down at the Tennessee River- a beautiful view, but expensive and very steep so there isn’t a lot of room to build- unless you want a 3 story home or put a lot of the house on stilts- no thank you! It was sure nice to finally find some lots that are flatter than most of what we have seen- even if it doesn’t work out, it renewed our hope!

Tomorrow is moving day- with more rain expected…
