San Diego, here we come
After all that driving and looking at real estate, we needed to relax and Janelle needed a vacation after working all summer- so we went to San Diego! You know it has long been our happy place, and it was once again. The campground (excuse me, “RV Resort”) that we like is actually in Chula Vista, on the south end of San Diego. It’s only a year or so old, and it is beautiful, with a great pool:
We took some time to just relax and hang out at the pool a couple times. We also went to the beach at the Silver Strand, although we couldn’t go in the water due to some contamination from Mexico- so when it started to get breezy we went back to the campground and the pool! We watched a Padres game- ticket prices have gone up!
We went to tour the Midway- we have been numerous times, but it just keeps getting better and better! The docents are so interesting and informative, many of whom served on the Midway, so they have great knowledge and stories. We really spent time relaxing, eating great seafood (Blue Water is the best!), and looking at sunsets:
The weather was warmer and more humid than normal, but we still had a great time!
We are now planning our next trip- the Grand Circle tour of National Parks of Utah- Arches, Bryce, Canyonland, Capitol Reef, Mesa Verde and Zion! But first- we will share our final thoughts on our cross-country trip- see the next blog post!
